Cathal O’Reilly is an Irish spoken word artist, musician, author, speaker and creative workshop facilitator from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Through live performance, talks and interactive workshops, Cathal explores creativity, self-expression, mental health, resilience and the power of finding your own voice.

His work has brought him to arts festivals, community events, schools and stages across Ireland.

Cathal O’Reilly is a spoken word artist, musician, author and facilitator whose work combines storytelling, poetry, hip-hop and lived experience.

He is the author of A Funny Thing About Depression and Catching the Thought and has performed his spoken word and music at arts and cultural events around Ireland.

In 2026, his creative work expanded further into education through the Clifden Arts Festival Schools Programme, where he facilitated workshops encouraging primary and secondary school students to explore Irish language, rap, hip-hop and spoken word.

Cathal was also named a finalist in the Mental Health Ireland Awards 2026 – Impact in the Community category
